Week in Review: Kate & Wills Hit the Americas After Shia LaBeouf Admits to Hittin' Megan Fox

Happy 4th of July weekend!

But before you settle down for fireworks and BBQ, catch up on the sizzling stories of the past week?because there's nothing more all-American than exercising one's right to indulge in celebrity gossip.

Consider it your patriotic duty!

VOTE NOW: Watch With Kristin's 2011 Tater Top Awards are still yours for the deciding, so click away!

THEY'RE HE-ERE: A few days after enjoying the action at Wimbledon, Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in Canada for the start of their North American sojourn. The Duchess of Cambridge (and 11th cousin to Jane Austen) switched out of her "casual" traveling togs for a camera-ready midnight-blue affair before they landed and, what do you know, looked pretty picture perfect. On Friday, on what would have been Princess Diana's 50th birthday (thanks, Newsweek, for pointing out the impossible), they made the rounds in honor of Canada Day. The dazzling duo will be in the Americas for 10 days, concluding their trip in Hollywood among the comparably less elite.

MORE THAN MEETS THE EYE: Shia LaBeouf spilled the hookup beans in Details and is now feeling a little remorseful about admitting to an offscreen dalliance with Megan Fox while the pair were playing an onscreen item in Transformers. The "f--king idiot" (Harrison Ford's words, not ours!) and object of Selena Gomez's admiration blames his age?he's 25, which is rather old in Hollywood years?but we blame douchiness. And Fox, because she's so pretty, hence everything is her fault. (And Josh Duhamel wonders why poor Megan gets a bad rap...) Meanwhile, Shia called it a "blessing" that Megan wasn't in the third film, but box-office analysts have another word for it: "inconsequential."

BABY FACE: Newlywed Courtney Stodden is really 16, as proven by the birth certificate first obtained by E! News. But isn't it funny how she looks 25 and her 51-year-old hubby, Doug Hutchison, looks 19? And why isn't this illegal again?

SHE WON'T BE BACK: Two months after acknowledging that they were separated, Maria Shriver filed for divorce from Arnold Schwarzenegger after 25 years of marriage and one mindblowing admission that the action hero and ex-governor of California had fathered a son with the family's housekeeper?who only just left her post in January! The question wasn't if Maria would divorce her unfaithful hubby, but when.

PLAZA SWEET: Denise Richards adopted a baby girl and named her Eloise Joni Richards?Joni after her mom and Eloise in accordance with her daughters' input. Sam and Lola have stayed in the Eloise Suite at NYC's famous Plaza hotel with their mom?most notably when papa Charlie Sheen huffed and puffed and almost blew the house down while staying in a room down the hall.

MAMMA MIA: Salma Hayek's fashion-industry titan husband, François-Henri Pinault, had a child with supermodel Linda Evangelista years ago. Actually, it was the same amount of years ago that he fathered his child with Hayek.

FREE: Lindsay Lohan completed her stint on house arrest and, after performing more community service at an L.A. women's shelter, headed off to Lexington Social House in Hollywood for supper with Emile Hirsch and other pals.

VOICE OF AMERICA: Seasoned singer Javier Colon won the premiere season of The Voice, which proved enough of a hit for NBC that it will be following the Super Bowl next year?with Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine all along for the season-two ride. Phew!

IN ON THE ACTION: Stephen Colbert, he being a wealthy individual in charge of his very own Nation, has been granted leave to form a Super PAC, which will enable him and his PACmen to raise unlimited campaign contributions for the candidates of their choice.

TMI: Way to kick a man when he's dead, Mrs. Brady.

FATHER KNOWS BEST: Dannielynn met not be an oil heiress, but Anna Nicole Smith's daughter will always be a princess in dad Larry Birkhead's eyes.

ONGOING ISSUES: Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, who's been in and out of rehab for alcoholism, fell off the wagon and ended up in a London hospital...Amber Portwood has admitted she needs help and is in rehab...Brooke Mueller has finished her latest stretch of rehab and is "doing amazingly well"...

SADNESS: Along with Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera mourns the loss of best friend and Jackass costar Ryan Dunn, telling E! News that word of Dunn's death was "the worst news" he's ever heard in his life.

CIVIC DUTY: Los Angeles police are looking to celebs who tweet to spread the word about the July 16-17 closure of the 405 Freeway, which is expected to majorly muck up not only traffic flow but also the Southland economy over that weekend. We are happy to report that every Kardashian kid, plus Kylie and Kendall Jenner, has done his or her part.

YES TO THE DRESS: Kim Kardashian appears to have chosen the designer of the most important couture she'll ever wear: She visited Vera Wang bridal boutiques in both NYC and West Hollywood this week. Nuff said, right?

Victoria Beckham Likes 'Little Girls to Look Like Little Girls'

Victoria Beckham has her hands full, but with her fourth child ? a girl ? due next week and the upcoming launch of her spring 2012 Victoria by Victoria Beckham dress collection, the fashion designer is ready to take on even more.

?As any working mum out there knows, it really is like juggling glass balls when you?ve got the kids and a husband to look after, and you?re passionate about your career,? Beckham, 37, tells Women?s Wear Daily.

?But I wouldn?t have it any other way. I?m blessed.?

Turning her attention from her line to her soon-to-be daughter?s growing wardrobe, Beckham admits her baby?s closet is already fully stocked.

?But not in an obnoxious way at all,? she adds. ?I love the French clothes for little girls. I like little girls to look like little girls.?

But while she may be looking forward to showing off her daughter?s style, there is one thing Beckham won?t be displaying anytime soon: her baby bump.

?I?m not really one of those people that likes to go out and pose and flaunt being pregnant. Not like there?s anything wrong in that. I?m so proud to be pregnant and I feel so blessed and so happy, I really do,? she explains.

?But I?m just not that kind of person. So, no, I won?t be taking my clothes off. I don?t think anyone needs to see that, other than my husband [David Beckham]. Absolutely not.?

Ladies night out with Salman

Ladies night out with Salman

Salman Khan?s Being Human show at the HDIL India Couture Week 2010 on Saturday night was a feast for the eyes as the superstar dished out eight oomphy ladies of Tinseltown ? including the top three actresses of today, Katrina Kaif, Kareena Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra ? on the runway. Kareena and Priyanka were seen holding hands when they came for the curtain call with Salman and thus managed to dispel the gossip of any sort of animosity. The others to sashay down the ramp were Preity Zinta, Rani Mukerji, Bipasha Basu, Karisma Kapur and Sushmita Sen as Salman decoded fashion from 1920s to present times in a grand musical-like choreography. High on oomph quotient, the show only showcased eight ensembles but the drama ? the provocative dancing and the extravagant opulent props, made sure that everybody was dazzled. In Dabangg style Sallu had distributed whistles to everyone giving them virtually the licence to express their excitement when the leading ladies soared temperature on the catwalk. Preity opened the show strutting in a sexy black dress ? a provocateur that certainly made the audiences get going about the 1920s. The embodiment of 30s was the evidently slimmed down Katrina who was greeted by tap dancers and models dressed as the mafia of that era. Rani portrayed the 40s ? she glided in with Mughal-e-Azam clip and Pakeezah?s iconic track Chalte Chalte playing at the backdrop. Her nawabi tehzeeb was an instant hit as she bowed in front of the audiences in a vintage ?

Vogue Editor Doesn't Like it When Men Dress Up

?I dislike men in fashion. I don?t like it when a man dresses as a fashionista. I don?t think it?s attractive at all. Women in fashion, on the other hand, are very attractive. Women can always make you dream.?

?Vogue Italia editor Franca Sozzani, expressing yet another one of her controversial opinions on all things fashion. That?s okay Franca, you can send them all on to me. [Vogue UK]

Prince William & Kate Middleton Sail Into Quebec City

After spending the night sailing along the scenic St. Lawrence Seaway aboard a Canadian navy frigate, Prince William and Kate Middleton made their grand arrival in Quebec City on Sunday (July 3).

First partaking in an interfaith prayer service on the deck of the HMCS Montreal, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge proceeded to disembark the sea vessel while once again facing French-speaking separatist protests as they spoke briefly with Grand Chef (Grand Chief) of Wendake, Konrad Sioui.

From there, William and Kate were taken to meet with residents of La Maison Dauphine, a center that helps homeless youths, which was to be followed by a military ceremony and the 375th-year celebration of the city of Levis.

Once finished up with the Quebec City duties, the royal newlyweds will be heading to Prince Edward Island - which happens to be the locale in which Miss Middleton's favorite childhood book, "Anne of Green Gables," is based.

Meanwhile, Prince William is said to be looking forward to the July 4th stop thanks to plans to partake in a search and rescue demonstration.

Business Is Personal For Ann Rogan of Loop Solutions

Ann Rogan, Founder & COO at Loop Environmental Solutions, an organization with a mission to accelerate access to lighting, waste, energy and water solutions for consumers by focusing on innovative marketing and distribution, is committed to serving the energy and water needs of the Bottom of the Pyramid (BOP).

In partnership with multiple Indian manufacturers, Loop aims to give customers product choice.  We believe in building on the strengths of existing distribution channels. Loop supports the growth of its community partners by disseminating information on best practices and business models from various regions.

Ann was in Amsterdam at the end of May for SOCAP Europe, the conference where money meets meaning, and was a Spotlight Social Entrepreneur.

Customers tell us they want to power their homes or charge their phones; that their existing options don?t do the job. It?s much easier for a customer to say ?no? when they see only one product, and it doesn?t exactly match their need.

"These experiences have forced me to ask the question: what is the landscape of a social market, where low-income markets are very remote, harder to reach, customers are not well-informed, and returns are split between social impact and financial returns?"

I spoke with Ms. Rogan about her reflections as an entrepreneur.

Don't look at business as business, business is first personal.

Georgia Immigration Law: Thousands Protest For Reform At State Capitol

ATLANTA (AP) -- Thousands of marchers stormed the Georgia Capitol on Saturday to protest the state's new immigration law, which they say creates an unwelcome environment for people of color and those in search of a better life.

Men, women and children of all ages converged on downtown Atlanta for the march and rally, cheering speakers while shading themselves with umbrellas and posters. Capitol police and organizers estimated the crowd at between 8,000 and 14,000. They filled the blocks around the Capitol, holding signs decrying House Bill 87 and reading "Immigration Reform Now!"

Friends Jessica Bamaca and Melany Cordero held a poster that read: "How would you feel if your family got broken apart?"

Bamaca was born in the U.S., but her mother and sister are from Guatemala. She said she fears they will be deported.

"I would be here by myself," said Bamaca, 13. "I have a feeling (the governor) doesn't know the pain affecting families. If he were to be in our position, how would he react?"

Adelina Nicholls, executive director of the Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights, said the crowd was sending a message.

"They are ready to fight," Nicholls said. "We need immigration reform, and no HB87 is going to stop us. We have earned the right to be here."

Azadeh Shahshahani of the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia called the rally inspiring and said she hoped lawmakers would recognize the law's potential to damage the state.

"I think it's going to have an impact," she said. "Unfortunately, the damage has already been done as far as people of color having second thoughts about moving to Georgia."

Several different groups stood with the largely Latino crowd, including representatives from the civil rights movement. The Rev. Timothy McDonald, an activist who has been supportive of immigration protesters, was among the speakers showing his solidarity.

"You are my brothers and my sisters," McDonald told the crowd. "Some years ago, they told people like me we couldn't vote. We did what you are doing today. We are going to send a message to the powers that be ... that when the people get united, there is no government that can stop them. Don't let them turn you around."

MiLi Lai, a student at Emory who is Chinese, also attended the rally because the immigration law doesn't just apply to Latinos, but "all non-American people."

"We are the same community," Lai said. "We have to fight for our rights."

Bellanira Avoytes came to the rally with her husband and three children. Although she is a legal resident and her children were born in Georgia, she does not see herself as separate from undocumented Latinos.

"I have family who are not residents," she said. "I am together with the Latin people. I love Georgia. I have stayed here for 18 years. I want to buy a house here."

Saturday's rally follows a "day without immigrants" organized Friday, when some parts of the law took effect. It was organized by the Georgia Latino Alliance for Human Rights. The organization asked businesses to close and community members not to work or shop to protest the law.

On Monday, a judge temporarily blocked key parts of the law until a legal challenge is resolved. One provision that was blocked authorizes police to check the immigration status of suspects without proper identification. It also authorizes them to detain undocumented immigrants. Another penalizes people who knowingly and willingly transport or harbor undocumented immigrants while committing another crime.

Parts of similar measures in Arizona, Utah and Indiana also have been blocked by the courts.

Provisions that took effect Friday include one that makes it a felony to use false information or documentation when applying for a job. Another provision creates an immigration review board to investigate complaints about government officials not complying with state laws related to undocumented immigration.
